Claire Sira

Claire completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology (assessment and rehabilitation) at the University of Victoria in 2007. She was the Victoria General Hospital neuropsychologist for South Vancouver Island for five years before going into private practice in Victoria. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Victoria and in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia – Okanagan where she is a sessional instructor and a supervisor for clinical psychology doctoral students. She is currently supervising students as part of the BCPA email therapy service using Kelty's Key. In addition to her work as a Registered Psychologist in the Victoria community, Claire is a volunteer provider and psychological first aid trainer with the BC Disaster Psychosocial (DPS) Program. She was privileged to help coordinate the BCPA psychological first aid response for the public during the COVID19 pandemic. She also volunteers her time as an oral examiner for applicants seeking registration to be a psychologist through the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
